Programs

SFPIRG runs various programs to help fulfill its mandate of engaging students and community in social and environmental justice.

We run Letters For The Inside (LFTI), a nationally-recognized project where student researchers respond to research requests from prisoners. LFTI volunteers have responded to over 700 information requests.

Every semester, SFPIRG hires several work study students who oversee projects and support SFPIRG in different areas. Students who are approved through SFU’s work study program are eligible to apply for a position with SFPIRG.

We also run all kinds of events every semester, such as workshops, film screenings, discussion groups, and more!
