Hello friendlies!
The SFPIRG team has some great news! We have signed a sublease extension agreement with the SFSS, which extends the sublease for our current space on a month-to-month basis, with assurances from the SFSS that they will not terminate the sublease prior to the completion of the SUB on campus. This means we will NOT be evicted on December 14th – it’s a big victory! We couldn’t have done this without the support of the SFU community, and so we thank YOU for your continued support.
However, we remain without long-term space on campus.
Our Board, volunteers, and staff have been working tirelessly on the campaign to secure long-term space on campus. We have some exciting developments in the works that we can’t wait to share with you in January! In order to prepare for the new leg of our campaign (and to give our team a chance to rest and recharge for the new semester), SFPIRG will be open until Thursday, December 6th. After that, we will be closed from Friday, December 7th, and re-open on Wednesday, January 2nd.
