Pinkwashing: Notes from Palestine

July 15, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

Free

What is pinkwashing? What does it have to do with Palestine? Let’s talk about it.

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of 100+ years of Palestinian struggle against European Imperialism, Zionism and Israeli settler colonialism.

We will be screening a movie called Pinkwashing Exposed, made by our friends in Duamish territories (also known as Seattle). After that, there will be a chance to discuss how Palestinian queers in Palestine are resisting Israeli pinkwashing, what’s happening here locally, and what we can all do to end pinkwashing.

ASL interpretation is booked for this event. Please register by June 28th at noon to confirm if you need ASL. If no confirmations are received by June 28th at noon, ASL interpretation will be cancelled.
