Come Share Senior Support Services Expansion Research Project
What is the central research question you want answered?
What are the objectives of your project?
Within the community, how many people are not receiving our services that could benefit, and what other services can we provide to better meet their needs?
Our objectives are:
„« Increase awareness in the community of our organization
„« Increase the number of clients we can serve
„« Determine the needs of the community
„« Determine the services provided by other Adult Day Centres in the lower mainland
„« Determine how we can expand/create new services to meet community needs

Size of Project (Number of pages, minutes, cm, etc.)
We will work with the students to determine the size of the project once a more detailed research plan is devised; we estimate it to be 10 pages.
Project Description (Use this space to further elaborate on the project)
This research project aims to identify (can be done in two separate semesters):
a) the gaps in our current clientele - how many people in the community who could benefit from our services are we unable to reach due to limited resources
b) the gaps in our current services - what additional services do we need to offer because they are not being provided by other organizations and because they are desired/needed by the community we serve? Also, what services do other Adult Day Care centres provide that we are not currently providing and what how successful are they?
How do you plan to use the results of this project?
We plan to use the results of this project to create future goals for expansion by presenting the findings to the Fraser Health Authority in an attempt to:
„« Increase funding
„« Upgrade to a new facility
„« Expand services
What larger goal is served by undertaking this project?
One of our major goals is to expand into another facility. Dependent on the results, the research will help us to solidify our case that there is client need for our services as well as better equip a new facility for community need or inform us that our current facilities are sufficient.
